Shhh – The Secret Wedding at the Love Shack

By | Uncategorized | No Comments

The Love Shack – was the venue for a very magical day for Abigail and Corey.  After Covid had put paid to several attempts at getting hitched they decided that it would be just themselves and their 2 children on their special day – yes it was really special.  They asked if I would be happy to photograph the wedding which off course I said yes.  So on a lovely sunny July day off to Knutsford we went and met up at a beautiful hidden wooded area with little nooks and crannies with arches, gates, doorways, fields, even an old cart and lovely lake with fountain.  The Bride was in her own self contained log cabin and the Groom was in his across the lake – this was great for me so I could photograph both of them getting ready.  With the usual flowers, cakes etc.,

The service was in a summer house and the owners of The Love Shack were the witnesses.  It was a very nervous Abigail and Corey, even though there were no guests they made their vows and after confetti was thrown – their special music was played in the trees – as I photographed them.  The beauty of the wedding as that there was no time restraints so we could wander around finding little gems.

Afterwards I left them having a relaxing Wedding Breakfast while the children played in the grounds.

Humbled and Honored to photograph such a magical/spiritual

Tina & Ben – Traditional and Modern Summertime Wedding

The blog is back!!!!!

Days before our strange way we live in today – when we could meet up and hug – us photographers could get out and about doing what we love best.

I have just finished a wedding album for Tina & Ben and remembered what a lovely wedding day they had at a fabulous church in Lindley and at the Casa in Brighouse.  The weather was fabulous and everything was looking beautiful, with a fantastic lady vicar who made sure the ceremony when without a hitch.  We even found time to pop back to Tina & Bens home so that they could have some pictures with their little pup who was ever so cute.  The Venue was great and everything was perfect and very laid back.  People enjoyed themselves – mingling and doing what we used to do – oh – happy days.

Photography by Karen Walton – Lindsay & Mark – Bagden Hall

More Wedding Photography from earlier this year I photographed Lindsay & Mark’s wedding at Bagden Hall near Denbydale.  It was one of the wettest days (in fact is was only the day) that we had this spring so it was quite late on in the day when we managed to dodge the rain to get photographs outside, but as one of my favourite venues the Hall as plenty of other areas for great photo opportunities.   Lindsay’s dress I must say was quite magnificent with one of the most beautiful Bridal trains I have ever seen and very easy to arrange, Mark scrubbed up quite well also.  It was an emotional wedding, though there was plenty of fun and laughter during the day as well, as the damp wet weather did not dampen their spirits.  The speeches were very good, with fun elements as well as serious ones.  It was a really good wedding and great family get together.  I hope you enjoy their video from the highlights of the day.

What a Heatwave of a Wedding with Jeanette & Phil Wedding Photography by Karen Walton

Karen Walton Photography had the privilege of shooting Jeanette and Phil’s wedding during the very hot heatwave that we have had this spring.  However, it did bucket it down during the wedding breakfast, but that did not matter, in fact that was the last time it rained heavily for a good time.  Anyway back to the Wedding Photography, I caught up with Jeanette at the Holiday Inn – Brighouse/Leeds in her suite while the bridesmaids were having their hair and makeup done, she was very chilled out (love this in my brides), then we moved into the honeymoon suite to get the final preparations and of course the fabulous dress.  In the meantime I caught up with Phil and his best man and took some shots outside in the sunshine of what is a great location for the wedding.  The reception has recently been re-vamped and is now very modern with a quirky mural of Brighouse, this was used for a couple of shots of the newly wed couple, along with the wall in the courtyard which at certain times of the day when in the sunshine it goes a very warm colour which again is great for shots.  I must admit that the room for the ceremony and reception was splendid with millions of candles and tealights, never seen so many at a wedding.  Phil was very emotional during the service and he had tears in his eyes as he saw Jeanette for the first time in her beautiful dress and it was a lovely moment which was captured.  After the service everybody went outside to bask in the lovely weather and congratulate the newly weds.

Natasha & Lewis – Spring Time Wedding by Karen Walton Photography

Earlier this year we at Karen Walton Photography had the pleasure in photographing  the Wedding  of Natasha and Lewis in the lovely village of Monks Fryston in Yorkshire, firstly getting ready at the romantic Monks Fryston hall, then with the wedding taking place at the Church across the road.  Every thing about the wedding was just perfect from the dress to the flowers, bridesmaids, brides men, every detail had been carefully prepared and thought of which shows in the beautiful images.  Although the weather was a bit mixed but that did not spoil things on this very special day, we also managed get some great shots outside in the fabulous grounds.  My lovely couple really had a wonderful wedding and loved every minute of the day, which hopefully captured by Karen Walton Photography.  Below is a slideshow of some of Natasha and Lewis favourite images, so sit back and enjoy their special moments.
